Yule Never Know How Much I Really Love You

Dear Visitor to the Alphabet Blog,

Here’s today’s playlist.

The Seven O’Clock Special was a “Sun and Son” set featuring songs about the sun and Jesus in honor of the holidays. Check it out on the playlist.

I did an impromptu glammish set early on that garnered a lot of calls. Thanks for listening at 6:30 in the morning. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: Alphabet listeners ROCK!

Happy Holidays,
Your friend,
Ashley

Here Comes the Sun
By George Harrison

Here comes the sun, here comes the sun,
and I say it's all right

Little darling, it's been a long cold lonely winter
Little darling, it feels like years since it's been here
Here comes the sun, here comes the sun
and I say it's all right

Little darling, the smiles returning to the faces
Little darling, it seems like years since it's been here
Here comes the sun, here comes the sun
and I say it's all right

Sun, sun, sun, here it comes...

Little darling, I feel that ice is slowly melting
Little darling, it seems like years since it's been clear
Here comes the sun, here comes the sun,
and I say it's all right
It's all right

Here’s today’s playlist.

Today’s Seven O’Clock Special was a Paul McCartneyathon which some of you liked, and some of you not so much. We heard my 12-year-old daughter’s favorite McCartney song, “Live and Let Die,” as well as “Vanilla Sky” and “Bluebird” (from the Wings album Band on the Run, which my daughter says is her absolute least favorite McCartney album and song) (not to be confused with “Blackbird”). Then immediately thereafter we had a SCOTTISH INVASION featuring Denny Laine (also of Wings fame), Belle & Sebastian, Travis, and Num.

I am probably going to be covering for my friend Walt this Thursday from 6-8 a.m., so be sure to tune in!

For some reason this week's show didn't archive, which makes me very sad because we had a special musical guest. Cy Two Elk is an Alaskan singer-songwriter who spends some time down here in Nashville, and he sang two great songs for us, but unfortunately you'll just have to take my word for it. Hopefully he can come visit again when he is back in town. You can learn more about him at www.myspace.com/cytwoelk.

Here's this week's playlist.
