Alphabet

Here’s today’s playlist.

It is weird having a one-hour show. I got no warmup time.

Alphabet has a new trainee for the semester! Rebecca is a sophomore at Vanderbilt and has just recently (past year or so, I think she said) started getting into indie music. I hope I don’t ruin it for her with all my ancient rock.

Because my show now starts at 7 a.m., the “Seven O’Clock Special” doesn’t really work. I’m thinking about a “Seven Thirty O’Clock Special.” We’ll see.

Please feel free to email me with your requests (see bottom right of page). And thanks for listening!

Dear Musical Comrades,

Here’s today’s playlist.

The new WRVU schedule for this semester should be posted at www.wrvu.org very soon. Alphabet will remain on Tuesday mornings, but we’re shortening things up a bit—the show is now on from 7-8 a.m. instead of the previous 6-8 a.m.

Today’s Seven O’Clock Special featured that song from the Target commercials, “Shape of Things to Come” by Max Frost and the Troopers. Max Frost and the Troopers were not really a real band; they were characters in the 1968 film Wild in the Streets.

Please feel free to email me with your requests (see bottom right of page). And thanks for listening!

Here's this week's playlist.

The new schedule begins (most likely) next week. I'll let you know what my new time is!
